Nine, Ten: A September 11 Story This story follows four diverse students in the days prior to the tragic events that occurred on September 11, 2001. Sergio, a Hispanic student in Brooklyn, is struggling his absentee father whom he has never met. In Pennsylvania, Will's father was recently killed in a freak car accident that has left the family devastated but also angry. Carly has just moved to California, and her mom is away on business in NYC. Naheed has never faced prejudice before for wearing a head scarf until she starts a new school. The lives of these four kids from different ethnicities will intersect a few short days after the 9/11 tragedy.
